When starting Microsoft Outlook 97 you receive the following error message:
The add-in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Addins\
Frmrdrct.dll" could not be installed or loaded. Unable to load
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office" You may be out of memory,
out of system resources, or missing a .dll file.
You had previously installed Outlook 98 and later removed it and reinstalled Outlook 97. The extended configuration file, Frmrdrct.ecf is still attempting to load Frmrdrct.dll. This add-in is not a part of Outlook 97 and can be removed.
There are two methods to stop this error from appearing. The first involves deleting the file. This method assumes that the file exists on the system. If the file does not you will need to remove the addin from within Outlook.
1. Click the Start button, click Find and then Files and Folders.
2. In the Named box, type "Frmrdrct.ecf." (without quotation marks)
In Look In click to select the drive where Outlook is installed.
3. When the file is located, click to select it and press the DELETE key.
4. Restart Outlook.
1. Start Outlook and click OK to get past the error messages.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3. On the General tab, click Add-in Manager.
4. Click to uncheck Outlook/Exchange Forms Co-Existence.
Note: you can click to select Outlook/Exchange Forms Co-Existence, and then click the delete button.
