The information in this article applies to:
In Microsoft Outlook 97, if the delegate of a Calendar declines a meeting request, the owner of the Calendar does not receive a notification, even though the option, "Send meeting requests and responses only to my delegates, not to me," is not selected.
When a delegate declines, the following message appears:
This meeting has been declined and will be moved to the Deleted
Items folder. Do you want to include comments with your response?
Select "Edit the response before sending." A new message addressed to
the meeting organizer appears for editing. The calendar owner's address
can be added to the To: or CC: line so that the owner receives notification
that the delegate declined.
