OL97: Recurring Appointments and All-day Events Not Showing as Busy In Planner

ID: Q231319

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you have recurring appointments overlapping all-day events, both marked as busy, not all of the time is shown as busy in the Outlook planner. When you enter a series of recurring appointments, followed by an all-day event that lasts several weeks and overlaps the appointments, you would expect all the time to be marked as busy. However if you look in the planner, some of the days between the recurring appointments that should be marked as busy, because of the all day event, are marked as free. This can also be seen clearly in the monthly calendar view, where all days covering the recurring appointment and the all-day event should be marked in bold. You will see several days not marked as bold (i.e. the days that are shown in the meeting planner as free)
