This article describes how you can configure Microsoft Outlook 98 to send and receive mail using a high-speed cable modem service.
Cable Internet services use a TV cable connection and a device that
combines high-speed downloading with nominal-speed uploading using your
telephone line. Such devices, often referred to as hybrid or duplex modems,
are attached to a network card instead of the traditional modem using a
serial port.
Satellite dish systems, such as DirecPC, use similar devices to combine
upload and download functions in a higher speed environment.
NOTE: These instruction assume that you already have a profile to use with
your Internet mail account.
