OL98: (CW) Contact Information Does Not Appear in Address BookID: Q180830
|
In Microsoft Outlook 98 when you use the address book to look up an
address, information from your Contact folder does not appear in the list.
NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the
Corporate Workgroup/Other option. This option allows you to use Messaging
Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your
installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In
About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate" if you have the
Corporate Workgroup installation.
Outlook requires that you complete three steps before contact information
will be available through the address book:
Outlook allows any Contact folder to be used by the Address Book, not just
the primary Contact folder. For example, if you create a new folder of
contacts called Friends, you can specify that the contacts in the
Friends folder also appear in the address book.
The Contact folders appear in the address book as subcategories of an
entry called "Outlook Address Book." If you click the Outlook Address
Book instead of one of the folder names, you will not see any contact
information. To see the contact information, you must click the
specific folder name that contains the contact.
