If you try to remove a folder by right-clicking it in the folder list and Then clicking Close <foldername> you get the error:
To remove this information store please click the Tools menu, and then
click Accounts.
When you try this, you find there is no menu item titled Accounts on the
Tools menu.
The folder was originally created when Outlook was installed as the Internet Mail Only (IMO) option.
The Accounts item on the Tools menu, is only available with the Internet Mail Only installation of Outlook. The "parallel" menu item in the Corporate Workgroup installation is Services.
1. On the Tools menu, click Services.
2. Click to select the folder you wish to remove, and then click Remove.
1. Install Outlook and choose the Internet Only installation.
2. On the Tools menu, click Accounts and add an IMAP account.
3. Download mail, contacts, and such and quit Outlook.
4. Start the installation and choose Corporate Workgroup.
5. Start Outlook, and on the File menu point to Open, and click Personal
Folder File(.pst).
6. Locate your old .pst file and click OK.
7. In the Folder list, right click the old pst, and click Close
"<filename>".
RESULT: The incorrect error message will appear.
