When you send an e-mail message containing an embedded object, the
embedded object may be lost if you are sending the message via the
Internet Mail service in Microsoft Outlook 98.
NOTE: This problem only affects embedded OLE objects. When you forward a

embedded object.
Use the following steps to send the message in Microsoft Exchange rich text

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Even in cases where the message is stripped of an embedded object, if you look at the message in the Sent Items folder on the computer the message was sent from, the embedded object will be intact. There will be no indication in the received message that it contained an embedded object when sent.
