OL98: All Items in Folder Are Not ExportedID: Q184677
|
You export Microsoft Outlook 98 items to a file, and not all items are exported.
The Outlook import/export converter does not export items that use a custom form or have a non-standard message class field.
You can work around this problem by using the Omsgclas.doc utility to change the message class of all of the items to the standard message class and then export the items.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98.
For more information about the message class field, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Q182361 OL98: Word 97 Document to Change Outlook Folder Message ClassIf you use the Omsgclas.doc utility to change the message class of all of the items in a folder, this may cause unwanted side effects. First create a temporary folder and copy all of the items you wish to export to this folder. Use the Omsgclas.doc utility to change the message class of the items in the temporary folder and then use the import/export converter to export the items from the temporary folder. This will ensure that your original folder is not affected by this process.
