During installation of TrueSync Plus software for the Franklin REX personal digital assistant (PDA), you receive the following message:
Setup has detected that your installation of Outlook 98 may be missing
a component required by TrueSync Plus. Please install Outlook 98
Expression Services. Outlook 97 users who have upgraded to Outlook 98
may not require this component.
This message occurs when you choose an installation option that does not include the Expression Services.
Expression Services are installed during the Full installation. They are not installed during Minimal and Standard installations.
To add the Expression Service component, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
3. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click to select Microsoft Outlook 98,
and then click Add/Remove.
4. In the Outlook 98 Active Setup dialog box, click Add New Components.
5. Depending upon the source of your initial installation, click Install
From Web or Install From CD.
NOTE: If you use the CD-ROM for your installation, make sure Microsoft
Internet Explorer is not in offline mode. Work Offline is on the File
menu. If it is selected (checked), click Work Offline to deselect it.
6. Click Yes, to allow Active Setup to determine the Outlook components
installed on your computer.
You will see a list of components available for download. If Active
Setup detects a particular component, the Status column on the right
displays "Already Installed." If a particular component is not
detected, the Status column displays "Not Installed."
7. To see more information about a component, click the arrow next to
the item.
8. To add a component, click to select the check box to its left.
Expression Service is found under Import/Export Components.
9. When you have finished selecting the components to add, click Next.
11. When the download is completed, quit all programs and restart your
computer.
