OL98: Hang in FIsRootFoldEntry When Opening a New Window and Selecting a Link for a Public Folder on the Outlook Bar

SYMPTOMS

Outlook may stop responding when opening a new window and selecting a link for a public folder on the Outlook Bar.

A DrWtsn32.log will be produced that will look like:


Application exception occurred:
App: Outlook.DBG (pid=333)
When: 4/8/1997 @ 15:27:56.295
Exception number: c0000005 (access violation) 


CAUSE

Outlook had a re-entrancy on the same thread into code that destroyed a global object.


RESOLUTION

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:
