OL98: Outlook Appears Partially Off-Screen When Maximized

Microsoft Outlook appears to have slid part way off of the viewing area of your screen when it is fully maximized.

For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.

Outlook may open in a fully maximized state and be misaligned in your monitor's viewing area due to a damaged registry setting. To correct this, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.



2. Type Regedit to start the Registry Editor.



3. On the registry tree in the left panel, navigate to the following Registry key:

   HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook\Office Explorer\
   
   (HKCU = HKEY_CURRENT_USER)




4. In the right panel, right-click Frame, and then click Delete.



5. Quit the Registry Editor.



6. Start Outlook, and click the Maximize button in the upper-right corner of the title bar. You can also maximize the window by right-clicking the title bar and then clicking Maximize.
