OL98: Send Button Missing on Attached Unsent Mail

SYMPTOMS

When you open an attached mail message that has not been sent, the Send button for the attached mail message is not available.


RESOLUTION

Drag the attached mail message to your desktop and then open the message by double-clicking it. The Send button will now be available.

To Insert a Shortcut Into a Message

  1. Create a new message, and on the Insert menu, click Item.


  2. In Look In, click to select the folder that contains the item you wish to insert.


  3. In Items, click to select the item you wish to insert.


  4. In Insert As, click Shortcut. Click OK to return to your mail message.


You may wish to create a mail message, save it and send it at a later time. If you send the message as an attachment to another mail message the Send button will not be available for the original message.

NOTE: You cannot send shortcuts over the Internet. You can only send a shortcut if the item resides on a network to which the recipient is connected.
