OL98: Text After First Comma Lost Exporting to Text File

ID: Q180808

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

If you export Contact information to a tab, or comma-delimited text file, some of your information may not export. Contact information that is not on the General page of the Contact form may not export properly if you include a comma in the field information. For example, typing names in the Contact "Children" field and separating each name with a comma exports only the first name. All names after the comma are lost when exporting.

RESOLUTION

If you enter multiple names in the "Children" field for example, use a single space between each name in the field.

 5. In the Value column of the Children field, type "John, Mary, Joe"
    (without quotation marks).

 7. On the File menu, click Import and Export.
