CAUSE

This error occurs when the NetShow Program has been deleted from the NetShow server, or if PowerPoint loses access to the Netshow Program on the server.

WHAT TO TRY

To use the Online Broadcast server feature, the following software must also be present on the server system:

NOTE: These steps assume that your NetShow 3.0 Server is configured, running without error, and able to stream media on demand from the ASFROOT directory.

To test this, place the Sample.ASF into the C:\ASFROOT directory on the NetShow Server.

On the Presenter machine, click the Windows Start menu, click Run, and type:
mms://servername/sample.asf
The Sample.ASF should play in Windows Media Player. If your NetShow server is not installed or configured properly, online broadcasting will not function properly. In this case, consult your NetShow documentation.
