PPT2000: Slides in Web Presentation Look Small

ID: Q237907

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you save and open your Web presentation in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later browsers, you may notice that the slides appear to be small within the frame.

If you try to change the Web Options for the page size, you will find that they have no effect on the size of the Web pages. The slide size remains the same.

CAUSE

The Web Option settings for Web page size have no effect on the size of the slide when you publish your Web presentation using the Browser support setting: Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later. With this setting your web pages are output in a way that IE 4.0 and later can resize/scale the slides dynamically to fit whatever space is provided for them in the browser. This means that they will adjust automatically for the size of the browser window, screen resolution, etc.

RESOLUTION

To make your slides appear larger in your Web browser, you can either hide the outline pane on the Web page, or you can click the full screen icon to display the presentation full screen.

To hide the outline pane in the Web browser, click the button located in the lower-left corner of the frame labeled Outline. This switches to the outline pane. When the pane is hidden, the slide increases in size.

To switch to full screen mode, click the icon in the lower-right of the frame. This switches to the full screen web show of the Web presentation.
