PPT2000: Sounds Clipped in Animation Preview

SYMPTOMS

If you attach a long sound to the animation of an object in a PowerPoint presentation, that sound does not play in its entirety when you preview the animation.


CAUSE

Long sounds do not have enough time to play entirely, and they are cut off. This is the way this feature is supposed to work. When you view the slide show, the sound plays all the way through.


WORKAROUND

To preview the animation of a slide, click Animation Preview on the Slide Show menu or click the Slide Miniature. When you do this, the slide miniature displays all the animation effects on the slide as fast as possible.
