PPT97: Can't Use Presentation Conference Between PowerPoint 7, 9

SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to set up a Presentation Conference between a computer running PowerPoint 97 and a computer running PowerPoint for Windows 95, version 7.0, you will not be able to complete the connection.

CAUSE

The Presentation Conferencing feature was changed between PowerPoint for Windows 95, version 7.0 and PowerPoint 97 for Windows. The two versions are not directly compatible.
