RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, rename all files associated with the PowerPoint Save As HTML Wizard, and then reinstall PowerPoint by following these steps:

1. Close all programs.

2. Rename the following files. The files are located in the Office folder:

      Ppt2html.ppa
      Ppt2html.dll
      Frame.tpl
      Index.tpl
      Outline.tpl
      Standard.tpl
      Image.tpl
      Note.tpl
      Text.tpl

    a. On the Windows Start menu, point to Find, and then click Files or
       Folders.

    b. In the Named box, type the file name.

Select the drive where you installed Office and click to select the
       Include Subfolders check box.

    c. Click Find Now.

    d. Right-click the file and click Rename.

Change the extension of the file to old. For example, rename the
       Ppt2html.ppa to Ppt2html.old.

NOTE: If PowerPoint is running, you may not be able to rename
the file. Close PowerPoint and then try to rename the file again.

3. Reinstall PowerPoint 97 or Office 97.

    a. On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings, and click Control
       Panel.

    b. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

    c. Select Microsoft Office, or Microsoft PowerPoint from the list, and
       then click Add/Remove.

    d. Setup enters Maintenance Mode. Click Reinstall, and follow the
       instructions on your screen.

4. Start PowerPoint, open your file and then attempt to save your
presentation by using the Save As HTML Wizard. If your presentation is
exported, delete the files you renamed in step 1.
