MORE INFORMATION

PowerPoint Viewer for 16-bit Operating Systems includes import converters for the following presentation file formats:

NOTE: PowerPoint Viewer for 16-bit Operating Systems does not read native PowerPoint 97 and 7.0 files. Instead, it converts PowerPoint 97 and 7.0 presentations to the PowerPoint 4.0 format and then displays the slide show. Because the files are converted to PowerPoint 4.0 format, some features that are available in PowerPoint 97 and 7.0 but not in PowerPoint 4.0 may be lost.

For best results, you should save the presentation in PowerPoint 4.0 format from within PowerPoint 97 or 7.0. To do this, click Save As on the File menu, and select PowerPoint 4.0 in the Save as type box.

The Ppview16.exe is also available for download from the following Microsoft Web site:

Microsoft encourages users to copy the PowerPoint Viewer file freely and distribute it to friends and co-workers along with presentations they have created in the PowerPoint format.
