SYMPTOMS

When you paste link Lotus Ami Pro 3.0 or 3.1 document objects from the Clipboard, they appear as icons in the Microsoft Word document, even if you did not select the Display As Icon check box in the Paste Special dialog box.

When you double-click the Lotus Ami Pro icon in the Word document, Lotus Ami Pro opens the source document.

RESOLUTION

You can paste link a Lotus Ami Pro object without it appearing as an icon if you upgrade from Lotus Ami Pro 3.0 and 3.1 to Lotus Word Pro 96; however, Word does not directly support import and export of Lotus Word Pro 96 format.
