WD2000: AutoComplete AutoText Tip Does Not Appear for Enabled Foreign Language

SYMPTOMS

When you turn on a foreign language in Office, Microsoft Word does not display AutoComplete tips for completing text in the foreign language's AutoText list.


CAUSE

When you type dates or a day of the week, Word displays an AutoComplete tip for an enabled language when it is detected; however, AutoComplete tips for AutoText entries are limited to the default language.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
