WD2000: Collapsed Outline Is Expanded When Viewed or Printed from Print Preview

SYMPTOMS

When you view and print a collapsed outline from print preview, all levels are displayed and printed.

WORKAROUND

To view a collapsed outline, in outline view, click the appropriate Show Heading button on the Outline toolbar. To print a collapsed outline, print your document while in outline view rather than print preview.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
