WD2000: Crash Accessing Missing Subdocument with VBA Commands

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to access a subdocument in a master document using Visual Basic for Applications commands, and the subdocument has been moved or deleted, the following error message may appear:

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

When you click Details, the following message is displayed:

WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in WINWORD.EXE at 015f:305425c5.

NOTE: The actual memory address may vary.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
