WD2000: Err Msg: "Word was unable to post your document."

SYMPTOMS

After you save a Web page created in Microsoft Word to a Web folder and then try to send it to a Microsoft Exchange (Microsoft Outlook) folder, the following error message appears:

General Microsoft Exchange failure. Make sure Microsoft Exchange is installed correctly, and then try again.
When you click OK, the following error message appears:
Word was unable to post your document.


WORKAROUND

To prevent this problem from occurring, save and close your document. Then reopen the document and send it to a Microsoft Exchange folder.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
