WD2000: Error Message Installing Avery Wizard 2.0

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Avery Label Wizard 2.0 with Word 2000, the following error message appears:

Setup cannot find the program you selected.

Microsoft Word 97

The Avery Wizard may not work until the selected program is correctly installed.
When you click OK, Setup continues and the Avery Wizard is installed. However, when you try to run the wizard from the Start menu, the following error message appears:
Cannot run Microsoft Word. Please start Word first, then start the Avery Wizard.
After you start Microsoft Word 2000, you can access the Avery Wizard.


CAUSE

The Avery Wizard 2.0 looks for Microsoft Word 97 in the registry. If Word 97 has never been installed, the error message is generated.
