SYMPTOMS

When you start the Legal Pleading Wizard in Microsoft Word 2000, the following symptoms may occur:

The following error message may appear:

"The project item cannot be copied."

-or-

Word may appear to hang or stop responding.

CAUSE

You may be using legal research add-ins manufactured by Dragon Systems and/or WestGroup that have not been updated to work with Microsoft Word 2000.

WORKAROUND

Remove any startup items from the Startup folder for the Dragon Systems and/or WestGroup third-party pleading add-ins.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, contact Dragon Systems and/or WestGroup for an updated add-in designed for Word 2000. If you are using legal add-ins from Dragon Systems, contact the company for an updated add-in through the following Web site:
