WD2000: PhotoDraw 2000 Not Available As Word Picture Editor

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to change the picture editor in Word, Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000 is not an available option.


CAUSE

PhotoDraw 2000 does not write an entry into the Windows registry that would make it available as a picture editor in Word.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000.


MORE INFORMATION

To see what applications are available as a picture editor in Word, use the following steps:

  1. In Word, click Options on the Tools menu.


  2. On the Edit tab, click the down arrow in the Picture editor box. Applications listed in the Picture editor box are available to edit pictures when you right-click the picture and then click Edit Picture.
