WD2000: Run-time Error 445 Using PrintFractionalWidths Property

When you try to use the PrintFractionalWidths property, the following error message appears:

Run-time error '445':
Object does not support this action


CAUSE

This behavior is by design. The PrintFractionalWidths property is valid only for Word for the Macintosh version 98 and later.

To work around this problem, when porting macros between different operating systems, you can use the Visual Basic for Applications OperatingSystem property to return the current operating system.

For example:

Sub SetFractionalWidths()
   If System.OperatingSystem = "Macintosh" then
      ActiveDocument.PrintFractionalWidths = True
   End If
End Sub
