WD97: Can't Find Non-printing Character with Wildcard Search

SYMPTOMS

When you are in master document view, if you try to search for any character using a wildcard search, non-printing characters such as paragraph marks and section breaks are not found.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
