SYMPTOMS

In the Value Property Help topic in the Microsoft Forms Reference, the TabStrip control is missing from the list of controls in the Settings table. The TabStrip control has a Value Property and should be included in this list.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Controls That Use the Value Property

The Value property specifies the state or content of a given control. The following list of controls have the Value property:

   CheckBox
   ComboBox
   ListBox
   MultiPage
   OptionButton
   ScrollBar
   SpinButton
   TabStrip
   TextBox
   ToggleButton

The Value Property Help topic lists all of the controls except the TabStrip control, and describes how to use the Value Property with each control.

Using the Value Property with the TabStrip Control

When you use the TabStrip control, the Value Property returns the index of the active tab on the TabStrip control. For example, to display the index of the active tab, use the following statement:

   MsgBox TabStrip1.Value

You can also set the Value Property to activate a specific tab on the TabStrip control. For example, to make the second tab of a TabStrip control active, use the following statement:

   TabStrip1.Value = 1

NOTE: On a TabStrip control, the first tab has an index value of zero (0), the second tab has a value of one (1), and so on.
