FIX: Text Pasted into Table Fails to Retain Style

SYMPTOMS

When you paste formatted text into a table in Design View in Visual Interdev 6.0, the formatting is lost.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Type some text while in Design View of an HTML page.


  2. Format the text as bold and choose a font color.


  3. Under the Insert Table menu, click Insert Table.


  4. Select the text you formatted and Copy it.


  5. Paste the text into the table.
