"Unknown" Provider, File Version, and Copyright for Carddrv.exe

SYMPTOMS

When you view driver details for the Carddrv.exe file in Device Manager, "unknown" may be displayed as the provider, file version, and copyright.


CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Carddrv.exe is a 16-bit MS-DOS-based program and does not include version information.


STATUS

This behavior is by design.
