Cannot Type User Name During MSN Setup

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to type a user name in the User Name box while you are setting up MSN, The Microsoft Network, version 5, you may be unable to do so.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if your computer has a modem with a speed of 33.6 Kbps or slower.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, wait for the User Name box to appear before you type your user name.

If you cannot continue Setup, click Cancel and run MSN Setup again.
