SYMPTOMS

When you run an inventory report in CyberMedia First Aid 97 Deluxe in Windows 98, you may receive the following error message:

FAP32.EXE caused an "Access Violation" fault in module FAINV32.DLL at 015F:00BB66D6

Note that the memory address in this error message may vary.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur because First Aid 97 is looking for system information that is in Microsoft Windows 95, but does not exist in Windows 98.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact CyberMedia Technical Support to inquire about obtaining an update for First Aid 97, or upgrade to First Aid 98.
