Iomega Ditto Max Tools 3.0 Folder and Icons Missing

SYMPTOMS

After you install Iomega Ditto Max Tools version 3.0 in Windows 98, restart your computer, click Start, and then point to Programs, you may notice that the Ditto Tools folder and icons are missing.


CAUSE

This issue can occur because when you install Iomega Ditto Max Tools version 3.0 in Windows 98, Ditto Max Tools does not correctly install the Ditto Max Tools folder and icons into the Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, copy the appropriate folder to the Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder. To do so, use the following steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.


  2. Right-click the Windows\Profiles\Software\Start Menu\Programs\ Iomega Backup folder, and then click Copy.


  3. Right-click the Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder, and then click Paste.

    NOTE: If you are using User Profiles, right-click the Windows\Profiles\ <username>\Start Menu\Programs folder, and then click Paste.
