ASP Performance Monitor Chart Settings Not Read Properly From PMC File

ID: Q235519

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

After you save a Performance Monitor (Perfmon.exe) chart file (*.pmc) and an associated data log file (*.log) that include Active Server Pages (ASP) Perfmon counters, the data for the counters is not read correctly when these files are opened on another computer. Perfmon shows zero values for each ASP counter selected.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Perfmon is incorrectly attempting to read counter data from the local computer's registry, rather than from the data log file.
