Rasmon.exe Does Not Work When Monitoring Multiple VPN Connections

SYMPTOMS

When monitoring multiple RAS VPN connections, Rasmon.exe may not work and a Dr. Watson access violation error message may be displayed. This problem may occur when monitoring more than 35 concurrent connections. There is no data loss and the current connections remain open.


RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5.
