Attempt to Reconnect to Share Name Containing Spaces Does Not Work in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3

SYMPTOMS

When a network drive mapped to a share name containing spaces is specified to remain persistent, the following error message is displayed when you attempt to reconnect to the share:

An error occurred while reconnecting drive letter to UNC path
Microsoft Windows Network: The network name cannot be found.
Do not try to restore the connection in the future.
This connection has not been restored.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade your computer to the latest Windows NT 4.0 service pack.
