The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When FoxDoc is run on a project that contains a single .APP file and no other files, FoxPro causes a general protection (GP) fault.

RESOLUTION

Add any other file, such as a .PRG file, to the project before running FoxDoc on the project.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

NOTE: Because it requires Windows version 3.1 or later, this is not a problem under Visual FoxPro for Windows.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. Create and build a small application (APP) file.

2. Create a new project, and add the ,APP file created in step 1. Save the

   project.

3. Run FoxDoc using the project file you created in step 2 as the main
file. FoxPro causes a GP fault and crashes.

If these steps are performed under Windows NT, it may be necessary to shut down Windows NT entirely because the GP fault corrupts the 16-bit subsystem to the point that you may not be able to restart FoxPro or any other 16-bit applications.
