FIX: @ ... CLEAR Does Not Repaint Screen with New Color

SYMPTOMS

Issuing @0,0 CLEAR does not clear the screen with a new color until a refresh event is executed.

RESOLUTION

Instead of using 0,0 for the coordinates, issue the following command

   @ 0.1, 0.1 CLEAR

or issue the CLEAR command by itself.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro 3.0b for Macintosh.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

Issue the following commands in the Command window:

   SET COLOR TO W+/B     && This will change background color to blue
   @ 0, 0 CLEAR          && This should paint the whole screen in blue

Note that the screen does not change its color. In order to change the color, the screen must be resized or closed and then reopened.
