SYMPTOMS

When the record pointer is at the end of the file (EOF), the APPEND MEMO statement creates a new record in the database with the contents of the text file in the memo field. The expected behavior is to receive an "End of file encountered" error message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0. This problem was corrected in FoxPro version 2.0 dated March 25, 1992.
