FIX: LOAD Command with FUNCTION Clause Gives Error in FoxPro

SYMPTOMS

If you use the LOAD command with the optional FUNCTION clause in FoxPro for MS-DOS or Windows, you will get an "Unrecognized phrase/keyword in command" error message when you try to compile this line of code. The FUNCTION clause was added to FoxPro for Macintosh so that it can to load external functions, and is for use only in FoxPro for Macintosh.

RESOLUTION

Make sure that you are not trying to compile code under MS-DOS or Windows that contains the FUNCTION clause of the LOAD command.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro 2.6 for MS-DOS and Windows. This problem was corrected in FoxPro 2.6a for MS-DOS and Windows.
