FIX: SET DELETED ON Causes FPM SetupWizard to Fail

SYMPTOMS

The following error message is received when you run the FoxPro for Macintosh Distribution Kit's SetupWizard:

   Error 1234: Subscript out of bounds.
             at line 17 in ASCANNER.
             SetupWizard cancelled.

This error occurs shortly after clicking the Disk Images button, right after the SetupWizard asks if you want to include the FoxPro Extended Support Library with your application. The disk images are not created.

CAUSE

This error is caused by having DELETED set ON.

WORKAROUND

Issue the SET DELETED OFF command in the FoxPro Command window before running the SetupWizard.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro for Macintosh version 3.0b.
