SYMPTOMS

A scrollable text edit region of a screen can produce inconsistent results. In a screen with multiple objects, pressing TAB to move through the objects can cause the text to scroll up 1 or 2 lines.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in releases of Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS dated prior to March 25, 1992. This bug was corrected in the release of Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS dated March 25, 1992.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. Define a screen with three or four objects. Make one of the objects

   an edit region (with a scroll bar) of a memory variable or memo
   field.

2. Make sure there are more lines of text than are visible in the text

   area. A good example must have at least 50 lines of text.

3. Generate the screen and create the .SPR file.

4. Move to the edit region and leave the cursor on the last line.

5. Press TAB to move through the objects. Each time you press TAB to

   move to the edit region, it will scroll up 1 or 2 lines. The cursor
   will move out of view after TAB is pressed a few times. The scroll
   bar will allow you to scroll down to the bottom line. The cursor
   position will not change.
