The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

Attempting to add a comment to a report by using the MODIFY REPORT command results in an Internal Consistency Error if an executable was built with the Project Manager.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.6a for Windows.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. Create a program containing these two lines:

   USE ?
   MODIFY REPORT

2. Save the Program.

3. Create a new project adding the program just completed to the project.

4. Build the EXE.

5. Activate or run FILE MANAGER.

6. Locate the executable, and then run it.

7. When prompted for a table, select one of the sample tables shipped with

   FoxPro for Windows.

8. Create a quick report. Then double-click any one of the fields.

9. Click Comment, then click Cancel.
