How to Change the Report Writer's Default Font

The information in this article applies to:

SUMMARY

To change the default font used by the Report Writer, create an empty report, specify the desired font, and then save the report with the name UNTITLED.FRX. For a detailed description, see below.

This method works only if all of the following are true:

a. Your new reports are created in the same directory that contains the

   UNTITLED.FRX file.
b. The UNTITLED.FRX file is saved in the FoxPro startup directory. c. The startup directory is the default when New Report is chosen from the
   File menu.

Steps to Change the Default Font

1. Use the Report Writer to create a new report.

2. From the Report menu, choose Page Layout.

3. Choose the Font button.

4. Select the desired font, font style, and font size.

5. Choose the OK button twice to return to the Report Layout window.

6. Save the file as UNTITLED.FRX.

7. When asked if you want to save the environment information, choose No.

From now on, new reports created in this directory will automatically use the font information specified in UNTITLED.FRX.
