SUMMARY

The Sample Catalog is not a required file. It will not be installed unless Sample Applications is selected when you are installing FoxPro for MS-DOS.

MORE INFORMATION

The Sample Catalog contains sample tables, queries, screens, reports, labels, and programs.

To install the Sample Catalog while installing FoxPro, proceed to the Optional Components section of the installation.

If FoxPro has already been installed, you can invoke the application that installs optional components by typing "DO INSTALL" (without the quotation marks) in the Command window. (The INSTALL.APP program resides in the default FoxPro for MS-DOS directory.)

Once INSTALL.APP is running, do the following:

1. Under Programs To Install, select (highlight) Sample Applications.

2. Choose the Check button so that a diamond appears to the left of Sample

   Applications.

3. Choose the Install button to begin the installation process.

NOTE: If the Sample Catalog is not installed, then the introductory "splash" screen displayed the first time FoxPro starts will not contain the button labeled "Explore a sample FoxPro catalog that includes sample files."
