PRB: "Setup Not Saved" Error When Trying to Save Printer Setup

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

A wait window is displayed with the message "Setup Not Saved" when you choose OK after selecting a printer and giving it a name in the Printer Driver Setup screen.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the FOXUSER.DBF and FOXUSER.FPT files are marked as read-only, the FOXUSER.DBF file is corrupt, GENPD.APP is corrupt, or other FoxPro program files are corrupt.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, do the following:

1. Make sure the FOXUSER.DBF and FOXUSER.FPT files are not marked as

   read-only.

2. Make sure that the FOXUSER resource file is correct. Close FoxPro,
   rename the FOXUSER.DBF file, and restart FoxPro to build a new
   FOXUSER resource file.

3. Rebuild the GENPD.APP file.

4. If the error still persists, reinstall FoxPro.
