PRB: LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW Keys Don't Work on Wyse 50

SYMPTOMS

The LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW keys do not work correctly on a Wyse 50 terminal or a terminal that emulates a Wyse 50 terminal. If you press the LEFT ARROW key, a character is deleted. If you press the RIGHT ARROW key, a pound sign (#) is inserted.

The Wyse 50 terminal is manufactured by Wyse Technology, a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.

CAUSE

Keystroke remapping does not occur on the Wyse 50 terminal as it does on other terminals.

Use either of the following methods to work around this problem:

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

1. Use a Wyse 50 or other terminal that can emulate a Wyse 50 terminal.

2. With TERM equal to wy50, start FoxPro for UNIX.

3. Type some text. Press the LEFT ARROW key. Note that the leftmost

   character is deleted. Press the RIGHT ARROW key. Note that a pound sign
   (#) is displayed.
