PRB: SET COLOR TO Changes Color of the Status Bar and Clock

The information in this article applies to:

• Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.0, 2.5, 2.5a, 2.5b, 2.6

SYMPTOMS

When you are changing the color pair for SAYs with the SET COLOR TO command, the colors of the status bar and clock also change.

CAUSE

The status bar and clock are linked with the color pair of the SAYs. If you manually change the default color pair for SAYs the status bar and clock turn white on cyan.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

RESOLUTION

To control the colors of the status bar and clock, use the following command:

   SET COLOR OF INFORMATION TO <color_pair>

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

Type the following commands in the Command window:

   SET STATUS ON
   SET CLOCK ON
   SET COLOR TO R+/B
   CLEAR
   SET COLOR OF INFORMATION TO GR+/RB
